United Insurance Co. achieves 44% of Yemeni Market for the Year 2006

UIC which is headed by its young General Manager has shown a significant progress and achieved a substantial share of Yemen's Insurance market since 1995. With such progress, the company has marked a big difference in its total premiums which amounted to 44% of the industry's total premiums for the year 2006 especially when compared to the rest of the twelve Yemeni insurance companies. Thus United Insurance Company achieved 5% increase in 2006 which amounted in certain classes of business to over 50% especially in marine insurance, Engineers insurance, fire and life. These results are on the local scale but when we compare it to the rest of the Arab region then it is worth noting that United Insurance has advanced in this regard and recorded number 124 in 2004, 112 in 2005 among 244 Arab companies.

Tarek Abdelwaseh Hayel Saeed, General Manager of United insurance and Vice President of Yemen Insurance Federation said: "I am thrilled for this leap that the company achieved during the past twenty years and I thank all customers and team for their dynamic involvement to this remarkable progress and success." He added that United Insurance Co. confirmed its capability to compete in the insurance market and in addition the company briskly adapted to global changes and the current economic evolution which enable it to provide new insurance concept and up-to-date products and service that catered to the needs of the Yemeni market and its customers who confide in this company.
