UIC meets with Yemeni Airlines and agents on travel insurance

In order to further explain the benefits of travel insurance to travel agents in yemen, United Insurance Co (UIC) held a meeting with yemeni Airline Co (YAC) and travel agents in mid-April.
During the meeting, General Manager of UIC, Mr Tarek A Hayel, explained the importance of travel insurance as a prerequisite for obtaining an entry visa for many countries including the European Union. 

Commenting on UIC’s new travel insurance service which was launched last January and run by Mapfre Asistincia Bahrain, Mr Hayel said: “Besides helping travellers face various risks oversees, the travel insurance service will also expand the level of awareness among yemeni citizens,” he said.

Deputy General Manager, Commercial of YAC, Mr Munir Jahhoush, said that information regarding the new service will be distributed to all travel agents and clients to become fully aware of its advantages. He added that the move comes as a step towards upgrading YAC in line with developments in the aviation industry.

The meeting also saw Mr Essam Awami, General Manager of Bahrain’s Gulf Assist, explaining the various features of the service. A presentation on insurance services and means of applying for travelling assistance was presented by the UIC.
